At the meting held on Nov 27th our new PCSO Donna Blackwood reported back on all the incidents that have occurred in our area over the last 8 months. There has been a veritable crime wave with a total of
11 burglaries,
3 thefts of lead from roofs,
4 break-ins to vehicles,
1 theft of a bicycle and a number of incidents of criminal damage which were probably attempted burglaries.
I personally found this number rather shocking and we asked Donna to provide us more information about the methods used in these burglaries so we can advise on security measures you should take. She is going to research this and we will keep you posted on here.
The people responsible for at least 4 of the burglaries have been apprehended
